LOOTCRATE REVIEW: JUNE 2014

Hey Guys! It's that time of the month again where I review the subscription box of Loot Crate; the monthly subscription box for geeks and gamers where they include everything from collectibles, stickers and sometimes there's even a t-shirt.

Loot crate is sure big on themes and this month's theme was 'Transform'. I sure was expecting transformers related things and, as a non-transformer fan, I wasn't really stoked about receiving this box.
The box came with a mini-mag with articles, fun comics and details on the items included (remember that they did a digital mag last month? It looks like looters prefered the paper version because they are back with it!)
The Marty McPrime shirt - Value $28.76
I don't have a picture of the shirt because I've sent it back to Loot Crate. Why? Well, because they sent me a size medium for men. At least, they were kind enough to accept it back and they'll send me one of the correct size in return (at least, that's what they told me). As for the shirt, I think I would have preferred it to be just Back to the Future but the mash-up is still kind of cool. Oh, and I also hate the color red. :/
Transformers Blind Box - Value $12.99
I love blind boxes because well, you never know what you'll get. I got  the autobot Jazz. I don't have a clue who he is, but he sure looks cool!
Transformers Hex Bugs - Value $7.99
It sure looks cool but it's completely useless unless you have other hex bugs and you send them to fight each other.
Transformers Stickers, Warheads candies, a pin & MLG Starter kit and wristband - Value $12?
Loot Crate always includes stickers, as well as a pin for the theme of the box. I also got candy, which is cool even if there was one open and empty!? There's not much value to them, they they sure are fun bonus stuff! As for the MLG kit: If you don't already know, Major League Gaming is the #1 online broadcast network for professional level competitive gaming where you can compete with others and win cash prizes! I will definitely not use this starter kit but will surely give it to one of my hardcore gamer friends.
Overall feeling: Well, since they sent the wrong size of shirt, I was even more disappointed that I was in the beginning. The little robot figure is still kinda cool tho. But it sure wasn't a big hit because I am not a transformers fan. I'm giving 6/10 for this box. At least, they pass, eh. This was month 2 out of 3 and since next month's theme is 'Villains', I have my fingers crossed and hope for badass collectible stuff starring my favorite evil characters!

Do you have a Loot Crate subscription? Like it so far?

  1. Aww I would be disappointed too! Wrong size and an open candy?! :( I've never gotten one of these but one for Villains is quite tempting..

    1. Yessss :( It was such a disappointment! But my past loot crates were awesome, so I'm still really hopeful for the Villains one! You should totally try it at least one time :)
